Join the American Foundation for the Blind for the 34th annual Helen Keller Achievement Awards as we celebrate champions for change who are carrying Helen Keller’s legacy forward in the 21st century.

This year, we return to the Harvard Club of New York City, a setting with a meaningful connection to Keller’s life and legacy. From her years as a student at Radcliffe College to becoming the first woman to receive an honorary degree from Harvard University, Keller emerged as a transformative leader, disability rights advocate, and global ambassador for goodwill and peace.

As trustees of the Helen Keller Archives, AFB continues to preserve and share Keller’s legacy while advancing the causes she championed during more than four decades of service to AFB. The Helen Keller Achievement Awards carry that legacy forward by recognizing today’s leaders and changemakers who are expanding independence, inclusion, and opportunity for people who are blind or have low vision.

Registration will open soon. Check back for more information about the 2027 Helen Keller Achievement Awards.
