Broadband Access
According to the 2024 American Community Survey (ACS), 63.7% of people with vision difficulty have broadband access at home, compared to 66.8% of people with other disabilities. Both are less than the 79.4% of people without disabilities who have broadband access.
Computer Access
According to the 2024 ACS, 65.4% of people with vision difficulty have a laptop or desktop computer at home, compared to 69.5% of people with other disabilities and 84.5% of people without disabilities.
Smartphone Ownership
According to the 2024 ACS, 82.1% of people with vision difficulty own smartphones, as do 83% of people with other disabilities. People without disabilities are far more likely to have smartphones, at 94.4%.
