Thank you for reviewing the 2017 American Foundation for the Blind's Leadership Conference (AFBLC) Exhibiting and Advertising Options. Our exhibit spaces have sold out for the past four years, so please reserve your space as soon as possible!

Our flagship conference seeks to improve the quality of programs and services to blind and visually impaired children and adults. AFBLC provides a forum in which leadership personnel, in both education and rehabilitation, have the opportunity to increase their awareness of student and client needs, expand their knowledge, refine leadership skills, and share concerns and strategies. Each year, the conference is held in a different location. Previous conferences have been held in New York City, Chicago, St. Pete Beach, Seattle, and Phoenix.

Who Attends?

The AFBLC attracts the leaders of the field—those who are the influencers, as well as the decision-makers for their organizations. When you meet with participants at AFBLC, you will be meeting with those who have the authority to make purchasing decisions for their organization, and the people who will promote your brand to the rest of the field.

Conference attendees include technology experts, corporate representatives, university professors, teachers of students with visual impairments, orientation and mobility (O&M) instructors, rehabilitation professionals, and parents. They come from diverse organizations and institutions spanning the public and private sectors, including school districts, schools for the blind, Veterans Administration offices, hospitals, private agencies, and universities.

The 2016 AFBLC took place in Crystal City and attracted over 400 attendees from 44 states and 5 countries. We also had a record number of sponsors and exhibitors.

"When I exhibited at AFBLC, I didn't have a moment to sit down. I had a constant stream of traffic at my booth."

Mike McGowan, Executive Director, NOAH

"We had much more traffic than I expected. I have a feeling we will generate more than enough business to offset our investment in this conference."

Bill McCann, Founder and President, Dancing Dots
