AFB staff have loved the hundreds of photos we have received in response to our January 20 blog post “Share Your Photos: Let’s Show What Education Looks Like in 2021”. A family of an elementary student shared many photos of their son with us from online learning, to making a “mug cake” with his O&M specialists as he learned ECC skills, to sledding with his buddy who is another youth with a visual impairment. The family received a $25 Amazon gift card.

We can’t wait to share our report Access and Engagement II: An Examination of How the COVID-19 Pandemic Continued to Impact Students with Visual Impairments, Their Families, and Professionals 9 Months Later which will include many of the photos shared with us. The report will be available in late April or early May. Keep those photos coming, even though our contest is over! We will use them in our third report that will document the impact of COVID-19 on education a year later.
